This project plans to help girls from weaker and economically backward community to fulfill their dreams by providing them means to livelihood. It can be in form of helping them in continuing their studies and / or then help them to set up their enterprise. This education may also help them to get a good job. It can also be just helping them to set up their own enterprise which can contribute to family income.
According to 2011 census, out of India's total population of 1.22 billion there are 591.4 million women. Their marginalisation in terms of literacy is 20% below their male counterparts. They are discriminated on all fronts of the life, be it education, employment, sports, marriage, business etc. Their inability to travel deprives them of access to quality life. All these factors makes these women vulnerable in bad times.
AKRSP(India)'s Yuva Junction initiative helps rural youths to climb up the social ladder. They are provided training on computer skills, non - IT skills, entrepreneurial skills as well as placement assistance. This initiative is set up in remote areas to enable rural girls to take benefit of this initiative. The enhanced skill will enable these rural girls to be well equipped with skills to earn an additional income for their familites.
This project will inform, educate and enhance employability skills to 100 women of the economically backward class so that they are better equipped to face the bad times of life. This project will help them to be placed / set up an enterprise. This will help them to support in their family income that will help their families to rise out of poverty which in turn will give them their own identity.
As a girl belonging to the minority community, I was looking for opportunity to support in my family income. "Yuvajunction" unit of AKRSP(I) helped me to realise my dream as an entrepreneur..
