Ashoka invests in young people, enabling them to gain access critical resources to support their growth and development as leaders in their schools, communities, and sectors. As we invest in social ventures and innovators around the world, we seek to connect them into a powerful global network.
There are myriad grassroots organizations helping youth access a better future through education, skills development, and support to grow as social entrepreneurs. What these initiatives lack, however, is a network that accelerates their impact by connecting them to one another and to individual donors.
Ashoka brings 30 years of experience in identifying high-performing initiatives and by creating linkages between them allowing for an exchange of knowledge and resources. Microprojects sourced for this initiative have considerable impact and reach. Often their models challenge and reshape the systems they were born from.
Ashoka envisions an Everyone A Changemaker world: a world that responds quickly and effectively to social challenges, and where each individual has the freedom, confidence and societal support to address any social problem and drive change. Ashoka has created programs targeting young social innovators, primary school and university students, and global innovators, and continues to test its own thinking as it grows. The specific goals and number of beneficiaries varies for each microproject.
